As a busy dog momager, these are the essential tools I use on a daily basis that I would recommend to every dog momager and dog influencer.
When I started Rosie’s Instagram account, I knew about Lightroom and VSCO for editing and those were the only tools I thought I needed. Little did I know there are a TON of essential apps and tools every single dog momager needs to make your life easier and be a successful dog influencer.
Flick Hashtag App
Social Media
This hashtag app has saved me SO much time since I started using it. It is great for the following reasons:
- makes hashtag research easy
- you can see how you rank on the hashtags
- you can categorize them into your content pillars & theme
- makes getting hashtags together for posts super fast and easy
Presets
Photography
One of my most asked questions, especially for people starting out is “how do I get a consistent feed aesthetic?” and presets are the best way to do that! Presets are also a great way to cut down on editing time. There are so many amazing presets bundles and you can save with my link & ‘WORKING20’.
Monday.com
Organization
As busy, working dog moms it is tough to manage social media, pitching, brand deals, and the business side of being an influencer. Monday.com is an essential tool that I use daily to organize projects, accomplish my goals and helps me to hold myself accountable.
Bluehost
Blogging
Bluehost is the hosting site I use for both Working Dog Momma & Rosie’s page. I highly recommend it if you want to start a website or blog through WordPress.org!
Flodesk
Email List
Do you have an email list?! If not, you absolutely need to start NOW. This is something I wish I started day one with my Instagram. Flodesk makes it SO easy to create emails, freebies, newsletters, and automated email funnels.
Lightroom Pro
Photography
Lightroom allows you to edit easily on your phone, use presets, lets you fix lighting, imperfections and overall enhance your photos!
Canva Pro
Social Media
Canva Pro is something I pretty much use every single day to create stories, posts, media kits, proposals, invoices, you name it! At this point, I would call it an essential tool for all dog momagers & dog influencers.
Splice
Video Editing
Video is ESSENTIAL on social media. I really love how easy & intuitive Splice is to use. I got the pro version, BUT you definitely don’t have to. If you do, make sure you go into your Apple subscription settings to select the subscription that is the most cost effective for you.
In-Shot
Video Editing
I specifically use In-Shot for different text formatting and sound extraction. On Splice, you have to pay for sound extraction vs. In-Shot you don’t have to pay.
Tezza
Video Editing
I love using Tezza specifically for creating stop motion videos, fun editing, and filters for video. Using different video effects helps make my stories interesting and engaging to keep my audience’s attention.
Mailtrack
Pitching
This is a non-negotiable when pitching brands and working with brands. It tracks your emails so you know when your contact reads your email, what links they click on, if it is forwarded and more.
This helps you strategically know when to follow up and what your next steps look like! Take the guesswork out of “did they even get my email?”.
Hubspot
CRM
Of course you could do this the old fashion way of copying and pasting the email, typing in the contact name and documenting notes. BUT, I highly recommend you use this free tool to do it all for you!
When you get an email, you can easily tap the Hubspot extension in chrome and it will automatically add the contact for you!
Notion
Organization
I have tested out several content planning tools and none of them have really stuck for more than a month or so.
Notion provides a calendar overview of what you’re going to post and where and includes a place to brain dump!
